"My father was a racer when he was young. He was a race addict, so he bought me a small bike and train me to ride the bike.

It was very hard at the beginning, but I liked to ride a bike and I also love to be a rider. So, I was trained very hard by my father. After a little time, he registered me in the Motocross National Championship in Indonesia."

I started to take part in the national championship in Indonesia with my father

"Year by year, I was contesting many championships and I moved from motocross to road racing. I feel challenged by road racing."

The difficulties I found in road racing become my motivation to be better and better. I was very happy that I did not quit when I found difficulties and my family always support me in racing."

In 2012 my performancees began to be seen because at every race I won the podium

"All of my family have played a big part in my racing career. Starting by teaching how to ride a bike, and always pushing me to my limit. I hated to be trained very hard at the beginning, but now I know if I want to be a top class rider, I need to try very hard, more than my limit."

"2018 was an unforgettable season for me. It was the first year I had a chance to compete outside Indonesia for a full season. I competed in the Asia Talent Cup and the Asia Road Race Championship. I learned many lessons during the season such as adapting with the environment, setting up the bike and improve my riding style. It was an unforgettable experience and also one of my best season so far."

"The 2018 season arrived, my birth number returned this year 16. Astra Honda Racing Team gave me the opportunity to take p.rt in two championships in Asia; namely the Asia Road Racing Championship and Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup. This photo above is me on a CBR250RR in the first round of the ARRC in Buriram."

"My best race ever was ATC 2018 Rd. 3 in Sepang, Malaysia. That was my first win in the series and it was in a high intensity race. The best moment of that race was an overtake in the last corner. I am very happy with that race."

I used number 7 in the Asia talent cup. The first round of the IATC Qatar 2018 with the NSF250

"Beside that race, I am also very happy with my ride in Race 1 of the third round of ARRC in Australia. In that race, me and all of my team mates made a clean sweep of the podium."

"Another great race was also in 2018, the first round of ARRC in Buriram. That was my first time to compete in ARRC and it was very special because I became the youngest rider ever in ARRC AP250 history to gain a podium spot."

Mario has a list of favourite corners: Qatar turns 11, 12 and 13. Motegi, the last corner, 7 and 8. Buriram turns 4, 5, 6, and 7. Sepang turns 5, 6, 7 and 8.

"This season is my first year to compete in Europe. I need to adapt to the culture, bike, racing atmosphere, and environment. Although it is my first year in Europe, I am optimistic about getting some good results. Getting some podiums even winning a race is possible and becomes my target for 2019."

"Racing competition is very interesting for me. I always get a new experience in every race. Starting from the preparation, begin with bike setting and working with the team. The result is an important thing, but if I can do a preparation very well from the beginning of race week, I am very confident to get a good result at the end."
