For Fabio racing is clearly in the blood. "My father is the one who inspired me and passed onto me his great passion for Motorsport. He used to race as an amateur and as a young boy I used to go and watch him race with my mother. That's when I caught the bug for racing!"
"He played a huge role in my career as he's the one who put me on a bike for the first time and supported me ever since. When I started racing, my father would travel with me everywhere and look after my bikes. My mother couldn't at the time as my brother Luca was too little to do all the travelling. As Luca got older, he and my mother started travelling with us too and now my mother and father take it in turns to come with me to races and events depending on job commitments. My little brother is always really interested in what I'm doing next in motorsport and is very proud of my achievements."
Fabio is very clear about two things, what he wants in racing: "Victory. Always!" and the name of his hero: "Most definitely Troy Bayliss."
It is not that he can think of nothing else. '"When I'm not racing I enjoy training with my motor cross bike and playing football. My favourite subject at school is Maths."
He already has great memories from his races so far. "My best ever race was the 3rd round of the CIV at Vallelunga in 2012, when, on my favourite track I felt in total symbiosis with both my bike and the track for the whole weekend. From the start to the end of the race I maintained first position, winning with an 8 seconds advantage, thus also breaking the record for that track."
"My best race of 2013 was in the 9th round of the CIV at Mugello. After a very challenging year, I managed to reach 2nd place in Moto3, finishing 3 fractions of a second behind after a very tight race from the start."
2014 was even better. "The second race of Brno in Red Bull Rookies Cup last year because after a not good first part of the championship that was the race where I started to have so much feeling with the bike and then I could ride the way I wanted."
"I did a lot of learning last year, first of all I learnt the tracks, then I learnt how to speak with the mechanics in an other language and I improved very much my race tactics. In 2015 I want to do good races, maybe in the first three positions and I would like to grow up as a rider and as a person."
"For the future I would win the World Championship, not in a specific category, just win because I think it would be very awesome!!"
"Of course winning gives me a lot of satisfaction, but what is most important, enjoyable and somewhat thrilling to me is all the hard work needed to reach that victory. For sure the work behind a race with the mechanics and then the win (maybe?) Hahah!"
