Rider bio

Enzo is following in the footsteps of his father, Denis Boulom, who in 1973 contested the Coupe Kawasaki, the forerunner of all single make junior cups and the nursery of Grand Prix winners and 250 World Champion Christian Sarron. Boulom senior won the first three races in '73 before he had to stop to concentrate on school.

He raced again in '75, dominated the first half of the season and was 18 points ahead when lack of money generated mechanical failures and he end the season second behind future GP star Eric Saul and ahead of Sarron.

He was teamed with Sarron for the '76 Bol d'Or and finished second but a serious accident at the Nurburgring in '77 ended his motorcycle career and he went on to race Formula Ford, Formula Renault and Formula 3.

So not surprisingly then Enzo started Kart racing before switching to bikes in 2009. "My parents have always been my biggest supporters, they have searched for sponsors and sacrificed things so that I could go racing."

First race 2010 Magny-Cours 100NSF

"The best race of my young career took place in 2013 year at Magny-Cours in the French Superbike Championship, Moto3. With a good free practice at the beginning of the weekend I was very confident about my qualifying result. Unfortunately an engine problem struck during the qualifying session, so it was impossible for me to make a lap."

"So from the back of the grid I knew I had to give 100% to get back on the lead group. Once in contact with the group we began a big fight with overtaking at every turn. Having an standard bike against GP motorcycles I had to compensate my speed disadvantage on the straights by taking risks in the twisty sections. All the efforts throughout the weekend paid off because I finished first with fastest lap."

"Last year in Rookies Cup my best result was 6th, just one second from the first in Race 2 at Brno. I was also been able to show beautiful things in the wet at Misano during the free practice sessions where I took the 5th time in FP1."

'I also participated last season in a French Championship race at Magny-Cours, which took place the same weekend as the Assen Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup round. After Saturday's race in Assen I rushed to France and I had of corse missed qualifying so I started at the back of the grid. I won the race with the fastest lap."

At school Enzo enjoys mathematics, physics and sport. In his free time he enjoys sports and being with his friends friends. His racing heroes are Casey Stoner and Marc Marquez. Though victory is clearly his plan he knows that there is more to racing. "A race that gives me the most satisfaction is when I can get the most out of the bike, even if it is not possible to win."

Enzo's ambitions are clear, "I want to be world champion MotoGP. For the 2015 season, I am more motivated than ever to win the Red Bull Rookies Cup."
