"My best race of 2017 was at the last round of the ASBK Championships in Phillip island, I was 1 point behind the lead in the championship heading into the last race. There was a group of 7-8 riders battling in the last corner. I was coming about 6th and came through the slip stream winning the race by 0.007 of a second which sealed the championship for me."

Billy's dad is a Boilermaker/Welder Fabricator and his mum an Office Administrator, They and his brother and two sisters are behind him as he chases the dream of following his heroes Casey Stoner, Mark Marquez and Jack Miller. "I only have one goal that comes to mind and that is to become a MotoGP World Champion."

As he chases the Rookies Cup success he will have plenty of chance to enjoy the Grand Prix circuits. "I like tracks that are very fast and wide."

"There is no better feeling than winning a race and seeing the chequered flag. If that doesn't happen it is also being able to give feedback to the team. Getting good results when changes are made with the bike is a good sign you're heading in the right direction and giving them input they need to make you faster."
Trying the Rookies Cup KTM for the first time at the Jerez test 2018
My best race of 2018 was in Thailand, Round 4, Race 1 of the Asia Talent Cup. I had crashed in qualifying and only qualified 19th. I managed to make my way through the pack to lead and ended up finishing 2nd by an inch.
