Blog | Simon Jespersen out of luck in Germany but working well

Simon Jespersen

Hey fellas! Hope your summer break have been very good and relaxing!

If we look back at Sachsenring, I've had a quite an unlucky Race 1 and not the most satisfying race 2... if you saw race 1, I was knocked out by other riders in the first corner, just after the race started. I'm a bit sad about that accident, because I felt very strong and had a very good start. No matter what, I can't do anything else, than look forward for round 5 in Austria. I've never been in Austria, and I'm very excited for next round!

The 29th of July, I rode the 5th round of the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship. It was a very positive weekend, and learned a lot more about my bike regarding the setup and also about optimizing qualifying. I have also improved my riding style, and now I'm getting more response from the bike, and I feel more confident to push to the limit.

These are my two grid girls; they support me with everything throughout the weekend. My parents are all I have in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship, to help me. As a family team, I'm very proud of what we are capable to accomplish.

The 23rd of july was my birthday and I turned 17! That day I was in Spain without my family, so I celebrated my birthday on dirt, with Riderpark in Aragon.

When I was riding at Riderpark, we spent the time on minimoto, flattrack, 600cc, 650cc, and we also did some endurance! From last time I was there, I have now improved my riding skills and went a lot faster this time! And thanks to Kev Coghlan, for being a very good coach and giving great tips, to go faster every time!

When I got home from Spain, the first thing I did, was taking my new scooter out and make it ready. Now I just have to wait until I get a license... (yes.. I took a small ride on it when it was finished - haha)

I want to wish Matteo Patacca and Jason Dupasquier, a very speedy recovery and hope to see them soon, in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup season again!

Cheers!
