Blog | Philipp set-up frustrations in Albacete for the CEV

Hi all,

Last weekend was the 5th round of the Spanish championship in Albacete. We had there two races for the CEV. It was really hot the whole weekend. Nearly 40 degrees in the afternoon. On Friday we had two free practice sessions. Each was 40 minutes long. We were confident and I set good lap times. So I was motivated for the qualifying sessions on Saturday.

At the beginning of the first qualifying I felt confident but towards the end I dropped back into the 15th position. I was not so happy with the setup. The second session was at the same time as the race on Sunday so we used it as a race practice. In the beginning I was 4th. But the problem with the setting still existed.

We tried something in the warm-up as well but it didn't change. In the race I had a normal start and a normal first lap but I couldn’t push to the front. I finished the race in 9th place. The weekend was not so good because we didn’t find the right setting.

Maybe we get new parts for the next race in Albacete.

Now I have six weeks holiday. No races and no school. I will train a lot to be well prepared for the 6th round of the Red Bull Moto GP Rookies Cup in Brno.

See you,

Philipp#5
