Hanro Van Rooyen

Hey everyone,

What a weekend ! So to start with, in FP1 it was my first time on the track and I tried to learn as much as possible. During FP2 I still improved step by step.

After qualifying in 23rd position, I had a spectacular Race1. The track conditions were very wet and a lot of concentration was needed. I managed to keep the bike on both wheels and came across the finish line in 14th position and got my first 2 championship points.

This gave me a lot of confidence for Race2. This time we had our slick tires on for a dry race. I made up 4 positions with my start but unfortunately got taken out by Enzo Boulom in the first corner. He did apologise, good sportsmanship, but then again that is racing, just bad luck it happened to me, well on my recovery road...

I tried to start the bike again but it wouldn't, so it was race over!

Back at the Red Bull garage, I cheered for my friend Bo Bendsneyder. Well done to him for his victory! So... I have got a lot of experience out of this weekend in Holland and will use it to my advantage in Sachsenring.

Thanks for all the support and messages and see you all in Germany. Enjoy every moment. Chat later!
