David Salvador

Hi everyone,

The third race of the Junior World Championship of Moto3 at Le Mans.

It was a tough weekend for me because Le Mans was a new circuit for me and we used the days we had been there to keep working and correcting mistakes.

We went straight to the qualifying because as we were participating together with MotoGP we had no scheduled time for free practices. This meant that we had less time for putting the best setting for the bike and moreover we experienced some bad weather so the difficulty increased in all terms.

QP: P27
We didn't get a good setting for the bike and I could not complete a good lap because I made some mistakes. That led me to not achieving a good position on the grid.

Race: P14 + penalty = P16
I felt really comfortable in wet conditions and we overtook many riders until the 12th position in the first laps. Then I made two mistakes in the 9th-10th corner losing 0.7 seconds each tine. That's why I got a double penalty of 1.7 taking me off the chance of finish in the top 15.

I'm very happy with how the race developed and we were able to finally find a good setting. We had a very good pace even faster that the one of the front group riders, so that was very positive for us.

I want to thank my team, my sponsors and my family to make this possible in a very hard weekend.

Next race...Mugello!

Let's go!
