Hi Everyone,
Free practice 1: I was working on the bike's setting.
Free practice 2: The goal was working on my pace to perform a good race.
QP: P6
It was a tough qualifying because it was all very tight. I wasn't able to achieve the position that I wanted because I knew that I could probably have done a better lap, because I had a good pace, I also had good feelings on the bike and I knew that I could make a good performance in both of two races at Jerez.
Race 1: P4
Very happy with the fourth position in my first Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup race ever. I did a good start that allowed me to be in the leading group together with Kuni, Baltus and Tatay.
It was a fun race with many overtakes. I made a mistake with the gear with two laps remaining and that was a big handicap for me.
Race 2: P6
This race was harder than the previous one because at the beginning I lost the contact with the front group caused by some riders that disturbed me. I ended in a big group and finally in the last lap when I was willing to put my strategy in motion I had a contact with other rider and that made me go to the 11th position. Luckily I pushed hard and I ended in 6th position due to the overtaking of 5 riders in the last part of the final lap.
I have learned quite much in this two races at Jerez. They were my first and important points in the championship.
My experience has developed a lot and I was able to meet the MotoGP riders.
I must thank the Spanish supporters because they were amazing and I also want to thank the Red Bull Rookies team, my family and my sponsors.
See you at Mugello!
