I would like to share, about the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup test in Jerez.
The first day was productive and interesting. On Monday I received and was able to try on all the equipment from Alpinestars. And I also got a helmet from Schuberth, which I immediately found comfortable.
The leathers from Alpinestars are very comfortable, once I put it on I did not feel uncomfortable, it also has a new AirBag system, which, apparently, can ensure the safety of pilots when falling at high speeds, in this test I did not test AirBag, but maybe that's for the best.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the riders had the opportunity to try the bike. From the first session it was unusual to go, as the bike does not forgive mistakes, unlike my Yamaha R6. But I managed after each new run to get useful experience and improve. We tried to roll as many laps as possible to get used to the bike . I feel that the Rookies Cup KTM RC 250 R has a huge potential I just have to realize it.
On Thursday, we did not run, only shot videos, took photos and we had several briefings and interviews. Thursday was a great opportunity to see the sights.
It rained heavily on Friday morning, but it was a good opportunity for me to try myself in new conditions. I knew that at any stage during the season can rain and I need to be ready for it.
To sum up, I would like to say that my participation in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is a great opportunity to realize my potential and become a great rider. I am happy that I have a chance to ride and train with fast and talented riders. I really liked the organization, everything was always on time. Mechanics worked smoothly and meticulously checking each bolt before leaving. Immediately after the end of the tests I went to the Flat Track race in Moscow where I got the third position.
Special thanks to Motorrika, Yakhnich Motorsport, Peter Clifford, Dani Ribalta. And I am especially grateful to Ivan Kupchenko for his hard work as a mechanic during the test.
