Soushi started early, "When I was young, Japanese animation (cartoons) influenced me, so I wanted to race. My father gave me pocket bike when I was 3 years old. It was a a lot of fun for me and I have loved it ever since."
"My parents are understanding about why I like to race. So they help me on the financial front and manage my diet," explains Soushi who had a good deal of success in Japan. My best race was the Daijiro Cup of 2010 in Haruna Motor Sport Land with my minimoto when I was 11 years old. I won all 6 races on that day with 6 pole positions."
"My best race of 2013 was Red Bull Rookies Cup in Brno, Czech Republic. I had been riding at the end of the 2nd group in the early stage of the race, but I rode in the lead of that group in the final stage of the race. So I took 5th place at the end of the race."
Soushi intends to boost his performance in 2014. "My strength is that I can quickly adjust to a new course and a new bike. I want to ride in 2014 taking advantage of my strength. I want to stand on the podium of all Red Bull Rookies Cup race and to win the championship." He then is determined to go further; "I want to win in Moto GP."
He enjoys fast circuits. "In the high speed corners, if I ride fast I can experience that from the scenery around me. So I'm excited and want to ride faster still. I really enjoy a good battle with other riders at high speed."
At school he enjoys Physical education and hopes to improve his English and away from motorcycles his favourite things are fishing and playing sports. His racing hero is Daijiro Kato.
