Life on two wheels started early for Simon.

Simon has spent many days at tracks around Europe as a kid, as his dad always raced, MX and Road Racing.

But it wasn't until he tried the NSF100 that he became interested in racing
When he is not racing Simon enjoys training with friends and online gaming with his PlayStation 4. The training involves riding his motocross bike and he still trains on his NSF100 almost every week.

Motocross is good training

"My racing hero is Johann Zarco. I met Zarco in Spain, when I was training on my moto3 bike, January 4th 2015."
"My dad has been racing full time since he was young and also on my mom's side, her brother was also a really good MX rider. My dad has been riding MX at a really high level (World Championship). When he stopped his MX career he started riding Road Racing. In January 2013, I went with my father to his winter practice in Spain, that's where it all began."

"I like the speed a lot, the adrenaline kick you get and also the time attack! It's really interesting, because you can always find new ways to go faster on the track and push to the limit. As my dad always says, "you can be whatever you want, if you want it enough"
"My family has been a huge help of my racing career! My dad has always been there. Without him, I wouldn't be where I am today. Since I started in the international championship, IDM Moto3 standard in 2015, he has been my Mechanic and coach all way through including 2017 CEV European Talent cup.
"My mother helps me with my training and my diet, she also helps in the paddock with many practical things."

"My father has his own Car wash and car paint business and my mother is taking care of the office and the accounting. I have two older sisters 24 and 21," explains Simon who is of course still at school and enjoys English and chemistry.
"My best race ever was in the Northern European Cup 2016 at Oschersleben in Germany where I beat everybody by 11 second and it was my first international win."

"My best race of 2017 was the opening race for European Talent Cup in Albacete where I took the first win,"

"In 2017 I have learned that the preparation is one of the most important things, if you want to race among the best. I expect to learn a lot in Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and looking forward to work with the Racing Coaches."
"I want to achieve the highest level of road racing. Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP."
"I really like technical tracks with a lot of corners especially the chicanes!"

"For me racing is to ride the bike, I could ride for hours, getting the best out of the bike."
