"From an early age, my father used to take me to his motorcycle races," explains Nick. "He was one of the fastest riders in the Ukraine."

"Then when I grew up, my father ended his racing career and started coaching me. Now my father is not only a father for me but also a coach, sponsor and best friend. All that I have achieved is also due to his merit."

As Nick's favourite subject at school is English he is happy to talk about some of his racing experiences. "My best race was the second round of Ukrainian Supermoto in 2013. I took the first position in qualifying. So I started on pole and held the first position until the first dirt section, then I was overtaken by my first opponent. After a couple of laps in second, I decided to regain the lead. But while I was overtaking the first rider, both of us were overtaken by the third. The race was exciting and I took the win only on the last lap."

"The most interesting race of 2014 was the first round of the Tatarstan SBK Championship. I participated in the SuperSport class on a CBR 600RR. I started from second on the grid and made a false start, so I had to do my best. Finally, I finished first but because of penalty for false start I got second."

Nick has a broad experience to draw on; "In 2014, I got a lot of skills and experience of riding road bikes, supermoto and motocross." For 2015 he has clear goals; "To get on the podium in the Rookies Cup and to finish the year in the top 5."
That will be the first step in chasing the example of his hero Marc Marquez. "I want to achieve a major title in MotoGP or Superbike."
He certainly enjoys what he does. "The combination of riding and working with the team gives me the most satisfaction. I love the tracks with a elevation changes such as Portimão." When he is not racing it is rollerskating and table tennis."
