"My father likes motorcycles and since I was a little boy I saw him racing, but not professional. I always liked the noises of motorcycles. On my 4th birthday, my father bought a pitbike for me, but I was afraid and my brother started to ride. When I was 5 years old I started riding a motorcycle."
"My family still dedicates all their time to keep me competing."
"My first championship was in 2009 when I was 9 years old and I lived in Japan. I was third on the NSR50. In 2012 I was NSF100 champion in Japan. My parents were very proud. In 2013 I moved to Brazil and started racing with Alex Barros Team. It was a great learning experience for me. I won the vice championship Paulista, with a 250cc motorcycle."
"I was Brazilian champion in 2014 and in 2015 I started my international career in the Moriwaki Cup. In my second year I was champion in Moriwaki Cup."
"2016 was great for Meikon. "It was a very evolutionary year for me. I learned to deal with different racing situations, difficult to itemise what I learned, but with each passing day I am willing to learn more and more."
"My best race was at Snetterton in 2016. In qualifying I crashed and had to start from eleventh position, I looked for positions and in the end I was already fighting for the first place. I got the win."
"I like mixed tracks including fast curves and hard braking. I am satisfied when I can do a good job with my team, resulting in a good bike. Winning is a pleasure, but it is not possible to have a result if you have not done a good job with the team."
Meikon's favourite subject at school is physical education and when he is not racing he likes to play PlayStation and ride a bike. His racing heroes are Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa and Alex Barros. He now lives in Brazil with your parents and brother Eliton.
