Rider bio

"Since my youngest age, I've been following my dad on various tracks, GP events, endurance and SBK races. My father also always rode bikes and now I also always need to ride bikes.

"Ever since my childhood, I have been living in the world of motorcycle because of my dad and all my entourage."

Yamaha Cup - 2013

"At the age of 8, Michel Nickmans (ex-rider) let me run on several bikes and presented me to my current management "Zelos" who made it possible for me to live a dream for 2 years in the "Ajo Motorsport Academy" Team in the CEV- championship but also to run at Valentino Rossi's ranch..."

Barry fondly remembers a race from 2015 as his best to date. "It was when I won the Moto4 Championship for the first time in Aragon. It was a very intense and exciting race and I really enjoyed it very much."

"My best race in 2017 was the wild card I was given to participate in the European Talent Cup at the end of the season with a lot of fighting going on from the beginning till the end of the race. I loved it!"

Winning in Valencia - 2017

"At the end of 2017, I had the chance to be selected for the Red Bull Rookies Cup after several days of testing in Almeria. It was an incredible opportunity."

Selection Event October 2017

"My first season in 2018 taught me a lot. I was the youngest driver in the championship and the level was very high. I did not have the chance to get on the podium but I'm still proud to finish in 11th place overall for my first participation."

Jerez, early in 2018

"In parallel with the Red Bull Rookies Cup, I started the Moto3 Junior World Championship. I had to do the first two rounds in the European Talent Cup category because I was not yet 14 years old and I left with a win and a second place."

Winning in the European Talent Cup 2018

"Once in the Moto3 class, I ended up with some drivers who were over 20 years old and it was not easy to impose myself because they had more experience than me but I gave everything I could.

I discovered new circuits and improved my driving."

In the middle of the Moto3 Junior World Championship action - 2018

"Outside of the race weekends, I trained a lot with my new physical coach. I do a lot of cycling and physical exercises of all kinds."

"It's not always easy to combine with school so I sometimes have to take private lessons.

"I also participate in a lot of trackday with speed bikes and supermoto."

"Although the supermoto is very different from the road race bike, It's very important for me to train in this kind of discipline because it helps me to have more stability on the bike."

Variety makes me a stronger rider

"Thanks to this year of learning, I came back stronger in 2019. My ambition this year is to take the lead and to be on the podium at the end of the year and maybe on the highest step ;-) "

3rd Jerez Rookies Cup Race 1 - 2019

"I already made a podium on the first round of the Red Bull Rookies Cup in Jerez and I also took the victory in Estoril in the Moto3 Junior World Championship so we can say that my season started well."
