Martin Vanhaeren - Hermalle sous Argenteau, Belgium - 05/04/1998
I’m Martin Vanhaeren from Belgium. I have been riding for two years. Motorbike racing is a real passion for me, it’s my life.
In a few days, the Selection Event will begin and I can’t wait! I’m delighted to arrive in Guadix by plane.
This year I’m doing the CEV in Moto3. This experiment will really help me to be better and more confident for the Selection. In one year, I have learned how to be a real professional rider, to organise my life, to travel, to become more independent and self-confident.
Every day, I train physically: I run, I ride my bike, I swim or I do gym. I’m followed by a physical trainer. I really have fun doing sport!
Every week, I go to Spa-Francorchamps to ride my motard and I have a lot of fun too: sliding and controlling the bike is really amusing. I learn enjoying myself.
What about school? That’s important for me too because my parents and the school help me and I need it to improve myself too. I have to organise myself of course so my results at school are good.
Last year, I took part in this Selection but unluckily without success because of my lack of experience. This year, I think I’m ready to be successful and stronger thanks to my training and the professionalism of my team.
What is important for me is to become a real professional rider and I am ready to train, to improve and to make the best choice to reach my target but always with pleasure!.
I’m really ready for this experience because I want to be the new Jorge Martín’s successor!
See you in Guadix.
