For future World Champions the route to Grand Prix racing has never been clearer. With ex Rookies Danny Kent and Johan Zarco leading both the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships by handsome margins it is obvious that ambitious riders need to sign up now for the Rookies Cup Selection Process.
From the online applications the most impressive riders are invited to the Selection Event in October and from there between 10 and 14 will be invited to join the Cup in 2016.
With KTM RC Cups in Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Netherlands, Finland, South Korea, Italy and Mexico there are some great opportunities for riders to prove themselves and secure their invitation to the Rookies Cup Selection.
For those not fortunate enough to yet have access to a KTM RC Cup there are other series that can help prepare young riders for the GP stepping stone that is Rookies Cup.
Moriwaki 250 Junior Cup
Current Rookies Bo Bendsneijder, Robert Schotman and Patrick Pulkkinen all came through the Junior Cup.
FAB-Racing – British minibike championship
Danny Kent, Brad Ray and Rory Skinner, Rookies past and present raced in this series.
There are many other race series through the world that can provide the background for a Rookies Cup career and not all successful Rookies come from a road racing background. Rookies Cup champions JD Beach and Jake Gagne had dirt track and motocross backgrounds and Arthur Sissis came from speedway.
If you have high performance motorcycle experience you can apply here.
