Before our home Grand Prix at the TT in Assen it's quite busy but I try to focus as much as I can on training and riding motorcycles. At the end of May I had an important test with the Moto3 bike on the TT Circuit in Assen.
In the beginning we had some problems with the gearing but at the end it went well. Beside the Moto3 test I rode a few times with my Moriwaki and later on a Honda NSF 100 on the TT Junior Track to keep the feeling with the bike and speed.
This past weekend I had, two weeks before the 85th Dutch TT, my first IDM Moto3 race on the Nürburgring. I struggled a bit on Saturday due to the rain and difficult conditions, on Sunday I was very satisfied that I won the Moto3 standard and finished third overall. Nürburgring is a nice track and I learnt a lot.
Like I said, between being on track we had some promotional activities. The infrastructure around the TT Circuit is changed and for the opening of the new road, the organisation invited a lot of Dutch riders to do some laps for the spectators. Two weeks later we had the official press conference of the Motul TT Assen.
There were a lot of journalists and photographers so an important moment for me in front of my home Grand Prix.
I hope to see you all in Assen!
