Walid Soppe Sachsenring

Blog | Walid Soppe taking time to get his head straight after the Sachsenring

Hi guys,

The month of July is done and it was not my best month of the year. After the TT I had quite a good feeling, despite my crashes, because I had the speed to be in the first positions. The week after Assen I raced in Albacete for the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship and we found some solutions so we improved. Unfortunately I crashed again in the last lap. It was a big disappointment, also for the team, because we were in the points.

But it got even even worse. In Sachsenring I had no feeling with the bike and crashed in both races. In the second one my bike stopped just before turn 3 and when I wanted to resume the race I didn't look out for the upcoming riders. I'm really sorry for Kevin because it was definitely my mistake. After the race I had to go to race control for the first time and it was a bit scary. In Austria I have to start from the back of the grid.

At the moment I enjoy the holiday so I can clear my mind. Sachsenring was quite a wakeup call. We work hard to do better in the near future. Beside the rest I can't stop training so I continue riding the Supermoto!

I hope you all enjoy the holidays and see you at the Red Bull Ring!
