Blog | Tarran a good way to finish in Aragon | 2013

Hi everyone,

Last weekend was the final round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in Aragon. As it was my last race with the Cup as I am too old for next year so I wanted to end it with a good result!

I started the weekend fairly good with two 12th places in the free practices but when qualifying came i didn't manage to go faster with the new tyres and ended up 19th, which I wasn't happy with.

Race 1 was okay for me, I didn't get a good start and I rode the whole race alone but I eventually caught the group of 4 riders battling for 12th.

For race 2 I got a much better start and passed 6 riders on the first lap, then I had a race long battle with Soushi Mihara. I finally managed to get the better of him on the last lap and finished 9th place, which equaled my best result of the season! I had a lots of fun racing Soushi!

Although my season didn't go to plan with some bad luck I have learnt so much about racing in the past 2 years with the Rookies Cup so I'd like to say a massive thank you to all of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup staff for the best 2 years of my racing career!

A special thanks to my mechanic Rene, Niki, Peter, Wiebke, Alex, Gustl, Dani, Santi, Xavi and Erwin.

I now have my 2 remaining British Championships rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch GP so I'm looking to end them on a high!

See you,
