Hey everyone,

The race weekend in Silverstone was not too bad after all. I came home with 4 points which is not catastrophic when you consider the start of the weekend.

In the first free practice I had a lot of chatter in the fast corners and I ended up crashing at turn 6. I was really disappointed because I crashed quiet early into the session so I didn't get a lot of track time.

The second free practice was not good, I had the same feeling with the front and I wasn't quiet confident after my crash.

For the qualifying Santi and Herwin from WP put a harder spring in the rear which made the front end more stable in the exit of the fast corners. Straight away I felt good on the bike and I was running around 10th -15th position but when I got out of the pits 10 minutes before the end of the session for my last run I did a mistake in my flying lap and all the other riders improved their lap time. I was disappointed but quiet confident because my feeling was quiet good.

In Race 1, starting from 20th position, I knew it would be difficult. I battled the whole race for 12th position and finished 14th.

In Race 2, I was battling for 11th with a group of 6 riders. It was great fun. On the second to last lap I pushed the rear brake a little to hard and locked the rear in the hairpin. I went straight and was last of the group, on the last lap I caught the group again, overtook 2 riders and ended in 14th position

I was disappointed because an 11th place was possible. But the positive thing is that I was feeling a lot better with the bike and I hope that in Misano the I will continue on the same line and get into the top 10.

See you in Misano!

Simon.
