Hey everyone!

I wanted to tell you all a little about the race weekend at the Red Bull Ring. As many of you know it is a special weekend because it is "Home" for the MotoGP Rookies Cup.

Overall, the weekend was positive, as I was able to take important points in both races, and that made me improve 2 positions in the championship. I gained very useful experience and most importantly, I know what to work on for the last GP's.

Friday was a difficult first day, as it was for most of us, due to the track conditions. FP1 was great weather, being able to get important track time in the dry. My feeling was good, working on consistent lap times by myself the entire session.

FP2 was surprisingly cut short because of the amount of rain we got. Qualifying turned into a wet session, but drying! That is what made everything interesting, as every lap the conditions were improving, and in result, the lap times too.

I felt okay in those conditions and I saw myself running in the top10 the entire session, until I tried pushing an extra step in the last two minutes and I ended up high siding out of turn three. My mistake resulted in having to start P13 on the grid! Many quick riders were starting further back so I knew it would set-up for two interesting races.

In Race 1 I had an okay start gaining a couple of positions, this had me placed inside of the front group.

We were 12 riders fighting for the podium and I felt really strong into the braking zones where I could pass riders lap by lap, but I would lose out on the straights and this was the cycle I was in the whole race. I gained some more positions to finish P9 in race 1, just over two seconds off the winner.

In the opening laps of Race 2 I saw myself making some small mistakes which made me lose out on the front group. I tried recovering the gap but without a slipstream I was struggling to run faster lap times. At that point I tried being consistent and salvage some points. I am not content with my P11 finish, but it was an important weekend to learn from mistakes.

After a couple of weeks with no racing, its finally race week! It is time for the MisanoGP, I am excited for the opportunity to race at that beautiful track again. I am ready to take full advantage of my final races with the Rookies Cup.

I want to give a big thank you to the RBRC for a fantastic weekend, to my sponsor Pole Position Travel, to my fans and friends, and most importantly, my family.

Don't forget to watch us race on Saturday, see you there.
