Blog | Scott Ogden in the points and in the hunt at in Aragón 1

Hi everyone, I hope you're all good.

After a huge break from the last round in Austria, I was so happy it was time to race again, this time in Aragón.
On Friday I was very satisfied with the day. In Free Practice I just got myself comfortable on the bike again and made minor adjustments. This really helped in Qualifying and I achieved my best placing so far of 13th. It's not where I want to be but it was 4 places better than previously.

Race 1. I made a good start, which I struggled with in Austria, and was in the mix with the 2nd group which was a battle for 6th place. I had a few problems with where I placed myself in the group and it left too much to do on the last lap. In the end I finished in 11th place.

Thanks for the support guys!

Race 2 was at a different time of the day to the first race and it showed in the lap times. Once again I was in the 2nd main group which this time was a battle for 7th place. I felt the speed was getting better but I just need to find that last little bit to be able to fight at the front of the group. I crossed the line in 12th. However, I was 5 seconds closer to the leader and 10 seconds closer to the podium.

Overall it was a solid weekend. I completed all race laps and have many areas I can improve on in the next round, which is the Teruel GP, at Aragón again. As a rookie to the class it is great to have repeated rounds where I can learn from my mistakes and put into practice the things I'm learning from the riders around me in the group.
Over the next couple days I will train a little and keep in a good physical state for this weekends races.

I can't wait. See you on track this coming Friday.
