I have been very busy preparing for 2017 season over the last couple of weeks. We have had the Rookies Cup Preseason Test at the Motorland Aragon Circuit and I have been testing and getting ready for the Moto 3 Junior World Championship. I have also been training with my fellow Brit team mate in both the Rookies Cup and Moto 3 Junior World Championship, in Wales.
The Rookies Cup preseason test went well for me and I really enjoyed getting all of my new Alpinestars and Schuberth kit and seeing the new and old Rookies. We spent the first day making sure all of the kit fitted and fine-tuned the positioning of levers on the KTM Moto 3 bike.
The next two days we spent on the track riding in both wet and dry conditions, this was good as it let us find a wet and dry weather setting for the bike during testing, something we had not had in my previous two years in the Rookies Cup. The next day we had many photo shoots and interviews, this is something I find enjoyable.
The final day we were back out on track and had an 18 lap race simulation in which I felt very confident with the bike. I really enjoyed the preseason test.
I have also been testing for the other championship I am riding in, the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship on a KTM backed by Racing Steps Foundation run by the KRP team. I have enjoyed the testing we have done with our new bike and I am looking forward to the first round at Albacete very soon.
After the Rookies Cup test at Aragon I spent a couple of days back in Scotland and then flew down to Wales where I stayed with Dan Jones my fellow Brit team mate in both the Rookies Cup and the Moto 3 Junior World Championship.
We spent almost a week together training hard, mountain biking and riding motorcycles.
I am now looking forward to the racing season beginning!
See you very soon,
