Sachsenring was good weekend for me.
I really enjoyed riding the track. As soon as the first session was over I knew that I really liked it. In the second session I concentrated on trying to find a good setting for the bike so in qualifying I could concentrate on setting a good lap time. Early on in the qualifying session I came into the pits to make a change to the bike and as I exited another rider lost control of his machine and crashed into me. Due to this I missed the rest of the session and I ended up in 21st position.
Race 1 was a little bit disappointing for me. I was held up in a crash on the first lap and lost the group in front. For the rest of the race I had a good battle with another rider and finished 18th which was an improvement on my qualifying position.
Race 2 I really enjoyed. I was able to make up lots of positions in the early laps of the race and I was able to get into a group battling for 11th place. I really enjoyed the race I had with the other riders in the group and I finished in my best position of the season so far which is 11th.
The day after Sachsenring my Dad and I flew to England where I attended Bennetts (one of my sponsors) 2015 British MotoGP preview media day at Silverstone circuit. I was interviewed on stage with Scott Redding, John McGuinness and Niall Mackenzie. Had a great day and met some really nice people.
See you soon,
