Since the last round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup at Aragon I have been very busy.
Since I became 14 years old I was eligible to race in the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship. I entered the last 3 rounds riding for Team KRP on an FTR KTM backed by Racing Steps Foundation.
The Navarra round was a massive learning curve for me, I qualified in 21st and I managed to work my way up into 13th position before I crashed, unfortunately ending my race.
Jerez was much better, I qualified in 14th. Race 1 was good and I was in a race long battle for 8th position, I finished in 15th scoring my first Junior World Championship points. Race 2, again I was in a big group of riders battling for 8th position, I had some great battles throughout and finished in 12th position. My team and I were really happy with how the weekend went.
We went into the last round at Valencia feeling confident that I could improve further, qualifying went well and I ended it in 9th place. Race 1 started off well and I was in a group of riders battling for 7th position, the race was then red flagged due to an incident. The re-start of 9 laps was even better, I finished the race in 7th place which we were really happy with.
Race 2 was one of my favourite races of the season, I was in a group of riders battling for 6th position. The racing was really close and I enjoyed every lap of it, I crossed the line in 4th position but was given a 1 place penalty due to an unsighted yellow flag. The team and I are really happy with how the season ended and I am really happy to be confirmed as an RSF backed rider for the 2016 season.
Last weekend I was at Motorcycle Live, the UK's biggest bike show at the NEC in Birmingham where I attended my sponsor Bennetts End of Season party, I was interviewed on stage with Britain's newly crowned Moto3 World Champion Danny Kent, John McGuinness, Niall Mackenzie and Christian Iddon. I had a great time at the show over the weekend.
See you all next year!!
