Blog | Noah Dettwiler - Race 2 in Assen

Good evening everyone,

How was your day? I'll tell you about mine.

Here a short picture from the Sunday's race.

In the morning, Juan and my dad repaired the clutch because it broke yesterday. It is very nice that they fix everything when there is something.

Around the day I watched other races with my friends from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. After having lunch, I started with my warm up for getting ready for the race. When we were in the Pit-Lane I was very concentrated and I sat in the shadow to cool down.

I did two sighting laps again to check everything. It was a bit windy. On the grid though, it was very hot. So I relaxed and focused on the race. Again, there were a lot of people what is very nice for us riders.

After the warm up lap I was ready to go. I had a fantastic start and I overtook 4 riders. The race was very interesting. Me and three other riders were battling for the front position of the group. More or less every corner we changed the positions. In the last lap I was second last of our fighting group and I pushed very hard to get in front of this group and I did it. I finished the race on P.18.

I am happy because I improve step by step, little by little. After the race I was very happy because we had a great, hard but fair battle. Also my dad was happy how this picture shows.

I would like to say a big thank you to everybody from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for everything. And also to my mom and my dad. Now I am looking forward to the next race already next week in Sachsenring. Again a new track for me so I am very excited.

See you there!
