Blog | Max Cook training for Jerez in the Arden simulator

Hi everyone,

It's really exciting that the start of the season is almost here and I've been busy making sure I'm ready.

At the beginning of March I went to Spain for 2 weeks to practice riding my Supermoto at Aragon and Finestrat Circuits. I rode with a European Supermoto School and they were teaching me how to ride on the dirt with road tyre and slide the rear to get a better corner entry speed. It was really fun but taught me loads.

During my 2 weeks in Spain I also tested with the British Talent Cup for 3 days in Valencia on board their brand new Moto3's. As well as racing in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, I'm also racing in the British Talent Cup with Dorna this year and this was my first time riding with them in a talent cup structure and I really enjoyed it.

I've also been preparing for the Red Bull Rookies test soon, which is at Jerez. I've never ridden at this circuit so I've spent some time at Arden Motorsport learning the track on their simulator which was awesome and a great experience.

Finally I had my first race weekend of the season competing on my Supermoto, with Cool-FAB British Championship. Sadly due to mechanical issues I had to retire early on, so I made the most of it by coaching my younger brother who races Metrakits and minimoto.

Over the Easter holiday in the UK, I'll be racing at Donington Park for the first round of the British Talent Cup and then straight after I'll be testing with Red Bull Rookies, so I'm really excited and can't wait to get started!

See you soon,
