May has been the best month of my life, but it's gone so quick!
Firstly I got to experience my first ever MotoGP weekend at Jerez. The whole weekend was amazing and to experience the MotoGP atmosphere with the passion of the Spanish crowds was incredible.
To also be part of the show and race in front of a MotoGP crowd for the first time is something I won't forget. I wasn't sure what to expect but I wanted to finish in the points, which is what I did in the first race as I came in P13.
In my 2nd race I fought hard and got in the top 10 and unfortunately I dropped back to finish P20. I wasn't too happy with the second race but I can take loads of positives from my first and will improve for the next roundd at Mugello.
Straight after Jerez I raced in the Cool-FAB Racing series on my CRF150 supermoto. I enjoy racing at the junior rounds and seeing the kids ride. I find it's a great way to stay bike fit and I also enjoy helping my little brother James who races in the Minimoto and GP50 classes.
Last weekend I took part in the second round of the British Talent Cup at Donington Park and I was so happy to take my first win of the championship.
I had a 3-way battle with Rory Skinner and Thomas Strudwick for the whole 15 laps. I wanted to win and in the last corner of the last lap I made a decent overtake to take the win. It's my first win of 2019 and it felt amazing to get on the top step of the podium as the race was so close. It was tough race but a lot of fun as well.
Now I am in Mugello this weekend for the second round of the Rookies Cup. I can't tell you how excited I am! This is a circuit I have dreamt of racing since I came here in 2011 with my family to watch Rossi on the Ducati at the Italian GP!
I can remember the atmosphere being amazing with the crowds, flares, engines revving up all day!
I've been preparing loads down the gym and I've been working on my weight over the last few weeks. I also went to the Arden Motorsport Simulator this week to practice the track and get a few pointers.
Thanks for reading my blog. Ciao! :-)
