Some weeks ago the 2017 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup season started in Jerez, Spain.
My season already started one week before in Albacete, where I rode the first race of the Moto3 Junior World championship with the support of my team, the Dynavolt Intact GP Junior Team.
49 riders took part in this event and in the end I made 20th in the race. I was quite happy, especially because the weekend was very difficult as it was my first time in Albacete and it was raining every test until the Warm-up when it got dry. Also I didn't ride with a factory bike like most of my opponents.
The weekend in Jerez started not that good. I had many problems to set up my bike on Friday and only made 18th in the Qualifying.
For the races, thanks to the Rookies staff, we made some improvements and I could ride up to 9th and 8th position. Those are solid points in the beginning of the season.
In the first race I was leading the group that was fighting for the 7th position, but in the end of the race the difficulties got bigger and I decide to let the other guys pass me and fight for the 7th in the last lap, but then the race was stopped due to a crash and that's it.
For the second race Santi and the Rookies Cup stuff improved the bike and it was much better, so I could ride with the top riders in the beginning of the race and finish quite much ahead of the group where I was in the first race.
Currently I keep working and improving and I am sure that I will be back even stronger in Assen.
As you can see I am enjoying riding my dirt bike.
See you guys and all the best!
