Matteo Bertelle

Blog | Matteo Bertelle for those who don't already know him

Hi guys!

We are looking forward to a new year, a new Rookies Season so for those who don't know me yet, I'd like to tell you something about me.

Spending some quality time with my little brother and my dad

My name is Matteo Bertelle and I was born on February 18th, 2004 in Monselice. I'm a motorbike driver and my dream is to become one of the greatest riders in MotoGP.

I am driving since I was three and a half years old thanks to my father, and from that moment I never stopped. Since that day, my dad has remained one of the people who motivate me the most in my career.

After run thoughts

I immediately started training and competing with the minibikes. It was during this time that I met Angelo, my "third grandfather", and his brother Giorgio. Even now, they still support me and help me to face most difficult situations.

Finally, in 2017 I won the CIV (Italian Speed Championship) in the Pre-Moto3 category. Still today this is one of my best memories. It is true that you will never forget the first victory!

With Paolo Simoncelli before a CEV race

I continued to train and compete, and finally on the last season I was able to have achieve new goals. First of all, I joined the SIC58 Squadra Corse, the Paolo Simoncelli team. For someone like me who has always been a big fan of Marco Simoncelli, this was really a dream.

Racing in the Red Bull Rookies Cup

But it didn't end there! I managed to participate in two major competitions: the CEV (the Spanish championship) and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup through 2019.
