Blog | Makar Yurchenko Макар Юрченко Fast man at Misano and fastest on MiniMotard in Russia

Hello everybody!

I want to tell you about 11th round of Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and about 7th, and final, round of Russian Supermoto and MiniMotard Championship!

Rookies Cup weekend in Misano started pretty good for me, during all FP1 I was in Top-5, showing good speed and just enjoying riding my KTM RC 250 R #76 around Misano World Circuit.

For the FP2 we changed the setting and the sprocket, but the things got worse. In QP setting was not the best as well and I couldn't find my rhythm.

I made a good ‪start on Saturday's‬ race, but then in Turn 2 I had to exceed the track limits because of another rider. Finally I was in a group of six riders battling for 8th and it was a great fight. 2 laps to go, when I was taking 9th position I made a mistake, which dropped me back to 14th place. I was able to catch the group again, but not enough to overtake.

I didn't show my best result, but I learnt a lot, and I will try to show my 100% during the last race weekend in Aragon!

After #SanMarinoGP I went to Russia to take part in 7th Final round of Russian Supermoto and MiniMotard Championships.

The track was really cool and interesting. In Supermoto class we had a dirt section with some jumps and ruts! As you remember I took the title of 2015 Russian Supermoto Champion already at the previous round.

So this time, without being nervous and without pressure I was just enjoying and having fun on my Yamaha YZF-450. And it was the key to win qualifying and both races! I was fastest during all the weekend, and surely it is a great completion of the season. I want to thank my team and everybody who supported me!

In MiniMotard I was fastest during all the weekend too.

I won two races and became Russian MiniMotard Champion 2015! Huge thanks to my JMC Factory Team for superb job during all the season!

I got a lot of pleasure and positive energy, which will surely help me during 12&13 rounds of Red Bull Rookies Cup in Motorland Aragon this weekend!

See you all there!
