DutchGP was full of drama for MotoGP and so was for us, for Red Bull Rookies Cup.
On Friday it was not raining; the track was dry and I was just enjoying, making laps around Assen TT Circuit. It was a nice solid Friday for me as I topped both practice sessions. QP was going good and just in the end I have missed a bit in the last sector and ended up 4th.
Saturday's weather was not so good as on Friday, so we had a wet race. I was taking care, but it was very disappointing to loose the control of the bike on the warm-up lap.
Track conditions on Sunday were even worse: too much water on the track. This time I made a good start, but in the first laps I did not have enough feeling, so I dropped some positions.
On lap 6 I was 10 seconds off the leader. I got the feeling and started to close the gap. 2 laps to go I was 4th, less than a second behind the leader. In the fast corner of the last sector, just before the chicane, my rear tyre just slipped away on the braking.
The results are not the best, but I have a big positive thing. I am feeling strong in either dry or wet. So I am 100% ready for Sachsenring, #GermanGP!
Thanks for your support and see you in Germany!
