Blog | Kevin Zannoni doing well in the wet in Italy

Hello to all,

Two weeks ago, I participated in the first two rounds of the Italian Championship in the Moto3 class at the Vallelunga circuit.

It was a very difficult weekend, characterized by the very unstable weather conditions.

Qualifying one: I managed to do a good job with my team during practice, with a very good feeling with my bike, making many really fast laps!

I'm happy with the second place !!! with a good feeling for the race.

Qualifying two: unfortunately it started to rain, and the starting grid would be decided with the times of the first qualifying session; I still gained information for the race.

Race 1: A very complicated wet race, right from the start, a bad start.

I tried to finish the race to finish in sixth place, taking home points. I was ready to improve in race two, hoping that it had been dry.

Race 2: Another wet race, this time a good start and I managed to stay with the lead group. A beautiful duel of five riders to fight for victory, but two laps from the end I almost crashed and with that I did lose important seconds and I had to settle for fifth position.

I'm happy anyway, because I was very fast in the dry and in Race 2 I was able to be fast also in wet conditions, with a good job from all my team.

I will try to recover these points at the next race of the Italian Championship, but first, there will be the Rookies race in Assen!

For the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup I am really impatient ... a new track for me.

To get as ready as possible at Assen I'm training with the Motard 450cc but also very much in the gym and in the swimming pool! I will try to do my best!

Greetings from Italy,
