In the Jerez weekend I learned a lot and I improved from turn to turn.
In qualifying I lowered so much my lap time, comparing the FP1 and the FP2, it was not enough because I ended up in twelfth position.
I was happy anyway because I knew where I was losing time compared to the fastest riders, and I knew, I could improve in the race!
In Race 1 my start was not the best, I immediately lost contact with the first group, I did most of the race alone, but with a good step for being my first race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
I managed to finish in eighth place!
I knew I had still some points on the track where I could improve and I was ready to do the next day.
In Race 2 I was able to start very well, and for the first few laps I was able to stay with the leading group.
Towards the fourth lap unfortunately I lost contact from them, I battled with the second group for the whole race; exchanging the positions continuously.
We were a group of 6-7 riders, it was a great battle and I managed to finish in Race 2 in eighth place, just 55 milliseconds from the seventh!
I am happy because I have reduced even so the gap from the first rider.
I think I have learned a lot this weekend, I am ready to try to stay with the leaders in Assen, a new track for me so it will be difficult.
