Blog | Kevin Orgis stepping forward again in Brno

Hi everybody,

Last weekend was the 5th round in Brno. I wasn't there for two years, so I didn't really know the track. After the first free practice I was in the top 10 and also in the 2nd free practice I was in the top 10, what was really good.

But on this track the slipstream is really important, so I wanted to be in a group in the qualification. But at the end I was the leader of a big group because everyone was waiting to get my slipstream.

So I was only 16th position in the grid and I knew it will get difficult in the race. But in the first race I had a bad start and the first laps were really crazy and really close. I stuck in a group but then I tried to catch a group with a gap of about 3 seconds. After a couple of laps I caught them and we were fighting really hard in this group.

At the end I got 12th position, what is ok. On Sunday it was raining really much, but after the MotoGP the track was almost dry. But on the track were some wet corners, so we had to go out with rain tyres.

I had a good start and in the first half of the race I had a really good feeling. I led the second group but then my feeling for the bike and the tyres get worse. I tried to stay with the group but I wasn't able to fight, so I finished 15th.

Our next race is in Misano in 2 weeks and I don't know this track. But of course I'll give everything there.

See you,
