I'm just back home from the first two races of the season. Overall I'm happy although was expecting a bit more from Jerez.
On Friday I just tried to made a good lap time for being the pole man. But when I was improving my lap time in the last lap, I ran wide at Dry Sack and I lost everything so I could´t hold the pole - finished in 3rd position.
On Saturday was the race and I was 100% ready for it, everything was going good, I just was behind Pagliani trying to go away from the group... But it was very difficult, so I focused on being in the top three during the race and on the last corner taking first like last year, but something went wrong, when I opened the throttle the rear tyre slid a bit and then I came a bit slower to the straight, that's why Soushi could overtake me.
Finally I made second and I was happy for that because I was in front of the people that I think will be in the fight for the Championship.
On Sunday I was more confident with the bike and also with the track, I tried to go away from the group but I couldn't so I needed to change the strategy, again I just tried to stay at the front positions without taking too many risks. In the last part of the race Pagliani was going away a bit so I went with Joan to catch him and we did it but at the beginning of the last lap, I ran wide, and I lost some meters that I couldn't managed to recover and at the end I finished 3rd.
I was not to happy with this race because I made some mistakes that I shouldn't have made but I will have more opportunities for wining races...
I think that Mugello will be a very tough race because I have never have been there and the Italian riders will know it very well. But the thing is that I learn very fast the new tracks and I can go fast 'easily', so lets see there, now I will train hard to get ready for that race, see you there...
