Hello everyone,
I'm going to describe how the Dutch GP developed for me during last weekend.
FP1/FP2: P4
Assen was a brand new circuit for me but in spite of that I achieve a good adaptation. I tried to get the suitable setting in the free practices and I also worked focused on my pace.
QP: P9
I couldn't run my strategy as I wanted but anyway I was having good feelings with the bike and I knew I could perform two good races.
Race 1: P5
It was a very tough race for me. I didn't make a good start a and few laps after that a rider fell down so I got cut of the leading group.
In the second group I fought hard together with Kunii and Fellon and I finally beat them finishing in fifth position.
Race 2: P2
Awesome race. I did fight until the end and I was able to reach the P2 as well as my first podium in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Championship.
It was a hard race because the leading group was very big. In the last lap I reached the first position but I got overtaken by Tatay and Baltus. But I did not give up and I overtook Baltus in the last chicane achieving the P2.
I want to give special thanks to all the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Team for this amazing weekend in my very first time at Assen's Circuit.
I also want to thank my mechanic, my sponsors and my family for all the support showed during the whole weekend.
I'm really happy with how the days went in Assen and I will continue working to give my 100%!
See you in few days in Germany!
