Hello everyone,

It’s so good to be back in South Africa for a little mid season break with the family.

Sachsenring round 6&7.

FP1: I used the session to get an understanding for the track again after not riding there for 1 year and also trying to find a good setting for the bike.

FP2: Was mixed weather conditions, the start of the session was dry but quickly changed and the rain came. I managed to put in the quickest time before the rain came down which put me in P1.

QP: Was cancelled due to very heavy rain that meant that we would either be starting from the FP1 or FP2 finishing positions, unfortunately we started from the FP1 finishing position so that meant that I had to line up on row 4 in 11th position!

Race 1
I got off to a great start, heading into turn 1 in 4th position. After not having much time on the bike due to the weather conditions the day before I was really battling with the front end setup in the race and unfortunately I crashed out.

Race 2
I made some changes after Race1 to the front end of my bike. I lined up on row 4 in 11th position once again hoping that the changes we made would work for me. I got off to another good start trying each and every lap to get a feeling for my new setup but unfortunately I was having a hard time with the front end grip and tucked the front going into turn 1, sorry to Soushi (Mihara) who I took out, obviously without meaning to. I picked my bike back up and re-joined the race finishing in 13th position, glad to pick up a few points.

I look forward to Brno and hope that I can find a good setting for the front end of my bike.

C u all soon,
