Blog | Daijiro Sako hopes you watched Mugello

Hello everybody,

Did you watch the races of Mugello? I hope you did!

Mugello is so beautiful... it was the first time I went there and I was impressed.

For me it was my first race of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup since I could not join the races of Jerez due to my injury.

We had two Free Practices in which I had to learn this new track for me and get used to the motorbike; unfortunately in the first session I fell down in the 3rd lap, so I missed quite a lot of valuable laps.

In the second Free Practice I had bad luck because one mate touched me and made me fall without making a single lap.

So, I had to go to the QP almost not knowing the track and I classified P20.

In the race I classified P17.

I'm not proud of this result but I think I have learned a lot of things.

I'm very thankful for this unique experience and I'm willing to learn as much as I can in each moment. Thanks Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup staff!

This weekend I have another race with the European Talent Cup in Barcelona circuit, near my home. I hope I do it well.

After that, I must study a lot because I'll have many final exams at school and I'll have lost many lessons.

Thanks for reading,
