How are you spending your vacations? at the beach? in the mountains?
We haven't been going anywhere for vacations in several years because my father has to work. He only has holidays on my racing days and he says that the races are his vacations.
I don't mind, I live in the mountain all year and I appreciate the huge effort my dad does for my sports career. My mom supports me too. She says that when she was young she asked her parents for some help because she wanted to be a professional ballerina but they said they couldn't and that made her sad. So, she says she will do anything she can for me. I'm grateful about that, because if you don't have the entire support of your parents it's very difficult or sometimes impossible.
Now I will tell you how was last weekend in Red Bull Ring, Spielberg with the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
Austria is very, very beautiful. We stayed in a country house where they had cows and dogs. Everything was green... amazing (main photo).
The circuit was a spectacle! A huge catering, live music, the big Red Bull statue...I was impressed.
On Friday, as always, we had two free practices for learning the circuit and one qualifying where I got a P17.
Race 1 on Saturday I could be in the front group for a while until one mate fell in front of me and I had to manage not to crash, so I loosed the group and finally I got a P11.
Race 2 on Sunday I could be again with the front group although it was a big group and with so many riders it is difficult to "stay alive", so, with some mistakes that I made, I got a P14.
I feel more confidence with the KTM. It's taking me longer than I would have wished but step by step and with the kind help and advices of the Red Bull crew I'm sure I'll keep improving. I'm very thankful to all of them.
Next round will be in Misano, Italy. There we will have one race only. I'm wanting for that day to come soon, but on the other hand, that will mean that the end of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2019 is nearer, and that is sad, Now that I'm getting used to all the crew, the routines... It's been such a great experience!
Until the next:
