Hello all,

First of all, best wishes for 2021 and let's hope for a healthy and good year for everyone.

Last year's racing season has ended a while ago, but 2021 preparations are at full speed ongoing.

At the moment it is not easy to train with a motorcycle in the Netherlands due to the weather but I'm preparing myself physically with different types of training and exercises.

There's lots of things to look forward to in this new year: first of all, there will be a Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup race at my home circuit in Assen!

I'm so much looking forward to that, you can't believe it. I am Dutch but since I'm 10 yrs old or so I have been racing in Italy and Spain. To race in Assen is very special for me and I'm really hoping I can do that in front of grandstands with spectators.

And I have more great news! Just before Xmas we have been able to reach an agreement with the Italian AC Racing team to participate in the 2021 CEV Repsol Moto3 Junior World Championship. I'm really happy as from the European Talent Cup last year this means another step up in my career.

The team that is not unknown to me, far from it. I rode pocket bikes with them – seems really long ago now! - and I even become European MiniGP Champion with them in 2017.

It's great to be working with these guys again.

It's still early January but I hope to be on a race bike again soon to resume training on the track. Just hoping that the Covid situation can remain under control somehow and that the vaccination program can start up and expand everywhere rapidly. Hopefully our winter tests and the start of the season can go ahead as planned in a healthy environment for everybody.

Catch up soon and stay safe,
