Blog | Brad on the podium again in Assen | 2014

Hello everyone!

The weekend in Assen went well for me!

FP1 was good, just getting used to the bike again and also learning the circuit again as the last time I was there was last year, ended up P3 in that session so was happy with that and still making progress.

FP2 was more about getting the bike setup for QP1 and I was going well in the session until me and Toprak had a little coming together in the first corner so couldn't finish FP2, still ended up P2 so it was looking good for QP1.

QP1 was okay, I was doing all the times on my own so that I know I could do the times in the race, I ended up P4 but got caught up on my last flying lap, I was still happy with 4th on the grid :)

Race 1 was very wet and was the first time for me riding the track in the rain so I didn't know how it would be. In the opening laps I wasn't very fast and that let the group get away and I couldn't catch them. I was running in 5th place and 2 people crashed in front of me so I ended up P3 which I was happy with as it's good points for the championship.

Race 2, got a good start and was leading the race at one point but then I was getting passed down the straights, also loosing drive out the corners due to my weight and size I tried making it up in the corners but I was pushing hard to do that. Still ended up P6 which is another solid result for the championship points.

See you soon!
