Blog | Brad fighting hard in at the Barcelona CEV round

Hello everyone!

Just come back from CEV race from Catalunya!

We started the weekend a bit on the back foot because we didn't do the test day during the week! The last time I rode the track was last year on a completely different bike.

The free practises went well, just making steady progress with bike setup and getting to grips with the track again.

Qualifying, we were still making little adjustments to the suspension just to give me a bit more feel with the bike on fast corners. We were struggling to get a good setup. We ended up 13th on the grid for the races.

Warm up was good, we made some big changes with the rear suspension and ended the session P5 and feeling confident for the races.

Race 1 got a really bad start and got ran on into the first corner and ended the first lap in 19th and fought back all the way to the front group fighting for 5th. I did get to the front of the group but made a few little mistakes on the last lap making me run wide I ended the race in 11th which was okay considering how the start of the race went.

Race 2 got a much better than race 1, I was 10th on the first lap and was with the leading group. I got up to 5th with 2 laps to go and I got slipstreamed back to 10th on the last lap. I finished the race in 9th and got the 2nd fastest lap.

See you soon,
