Blog | Brad desperately unlucky in Assen

Hello everyone,

The weekend Wasn't good for me.

FP1: I went out and put some laps in on my own, not with any other riders and ended up 3rd overall.

QP1: Went out on my own again and got some good fast laps in but had a lot of front and rear chatter, we tried lots of changes during this session but still the same.

QP2: We changed the suspension from QP1 but still the suspension is no good so I come in and make another change and go out and try it but was still really bad and ended up crashing on turn 9. I ended up 3rd on the grid for the race. Joan my mechanic and the WP guys worked really hard thinking what my problem could be and they found a solution for me to try in the race.

Race 1: Got a really good start from 3rd on the grid and was up to 2nd on the first lap then by the second lap I was running around 5th place and got taken out along the straight going into turn 9.

Race 2: Got another good start like race one and was second again into the first corner and felt comfortable running with the front group. Unfortunately on the 5th lap of the race the bike stopped along the back straight and could no longer continue the race.

Not a good weekend for me but role on Sachsenring in 2 weeks time :)
