What a great opening of my season 2015!
First, fighting for the podium in the Moto3 Junior World Championship at Portimao and finishing fourth and then two great races at Jerez for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup with two victories!
Jerez was very warm and with a track temperature above 50 Celsius, it was a battle for man and machine!
Qualifying was very difficult, because of a technical failure I had only a couple of laps to qualify for the race weekend! But with the great work of all the Red Bull Rookies mechanics they managed to give me a good spare bike and in the 5 minutes that was left I put my KTM on the pole position!
The races where outstanding, first race of the season and I was a little bit nervous and we where fighting with about 8 riders for the podium, a great battle and at the end it was me on the highest podium!
Race two on Sunday I knew that I had to get out of the group and I managed to get away and set my focus on the second victory....and I did it again!
Leaving Jerez with 50 points and going to Assen, my home track, is a dream for me.
At Assen there will be a great crowd that enjoys the races of the Red Bull Rookies, of course they support all the Dutch riders but the Dutch fans are supporters of the motorsport!
So for all the new riders....enjoy our Dutch fans and lets give them a great show!
Back in Holland working together with the Dutch Motorcycle Federation KNMV to help up coming talent and I enjoyed it to work with the guys and girls of the KTM RC390 Cup!
Thanks to Henk Keulemans for this great photo.
Last weekend my second race for the Moto3 Junior World Championship with my team "Dutch Racing Team" at the GP of Le Mans and again a great race and a 3rd place!
Now finishing my school exams and focus on it!
See U all on track!
