Blog | Billy van Eerde grabs a licence and a load of work building up to 2020

Hi Everyone,

It's been awhile since my last blog as I have been keeping busy and enjoying spending time with my family over Christmas and New Year. I have been preparing for my car licence test as well which will give me a lot more independence this year in Europe. The 2020 season is almost here and I am really looking forward to the season and full of motivation.

I've been doing a lot of training physically and on the bike. It has been great to get a bit of dirt track riding and Motocross in preparing for the season ahead. I feel good physically and a lot stronger than last year spending more time in the Gym and Cycling. It's very hot here in Australia so training in the heat has been good for me.

I have also been doing a couple of track days at The Bend and Eastern Creek in Sydney. I put some good track time in and it felt really nice to be back on the tarmac again.

Last week I went to Spain for the Winter Training Camp with the Junior Talent Team that I ride for in the FIM CEV Repsol Junior World Championship. We had some really nice weather and spent a lot of time on the bikes and many many Km's cycling every morning. Everyone had the best time and we were all totally had it at the end of the 3 days but it was so worth it.

I cannot wait for the season starting with the Test in April at Jerez and to get back together with everyone again. I'm sure it will be a great year as always and hoping for some podiums this year.

Thanks everyone for reading and will keep you all updated throughout the year.
