Hi everyone,
Here we are: Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is already over.
This last round in Aragon was quite emotional. After qualifying in tenth, I had a good start in Saturday's race.
I felt comfortable and happy to be back in the fight for the podium until I found myself stuck between riders at the end of the straight ... It was impossible to avoid falling.
Sunday I had one target: to finish the race and I did it. I finished 8th.
Finally, I'm 12th overall on the championship standings. These two seasons in Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup have been an incredible journey. I learned a lot, both in motorcycle, experience, knowledge of circuits, and professionalism. This was the best motorcycle "school". Thank you for everything!
A big moment was waiting for me after this race: the signing of a very important contract. I'm happy to announce you that I'll compete in Moto3 next season with the team PrüstelGP! It's really a dream coming true!
I can't describe how I feel right now. I really want to thank all the people who helped me to realize my dream: my parents, Zelos, Michel, Didier, Eric, all the sponsors and supporters.
Now the season is not over, I'm focus on the CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship with my Team Angel Nieto in Jerez next weekend where I will do my best to get closer to first place. I'm currently 2nd, 18 points from 1st.
If I am Junior Moto3 World Champion, I will be able to participate at 15 years in the 1st race of Moto3 in Qatar, otherwise I will have to wait until my 16 to compete and my 1st race will be at Le Mans.
I hope to see you again on track next season!
Barry
