Blog | Alex Escrig fighting into the action at the Sachsenring

Hello readers,

Today I am going to inform you about how it was the weekend in Sachsenring, Germany.

We arrived on the circuit on Thursday to do the track walk and I really liked the circuit because it reminded me of karting.

In the FP1 I found myself quite strange at the beginning, especially in the T.2, there I was super lost. At the end of the session I got together with a small group of riders and I could see things which helped me improve and lower the time and gave me power to qualify better.

In the FP2 I had worse feelings about the FP1 but still I rode faster and improved in several aspects of the riding.

In the QP I did teamwork with a teammate who was one of the fastest to help each other and hoped to classify in the front two rows. But we did not finish well and we found a lot of traffic which made us not classify well but we got a great pace.

In the Race 1 I started normally, placing ourselves in the head group. After an error the group escaped me by about 3-4 seconds, we had the same rhythm as them so we kept that distance finally ending in P.10.

In Race 2 I felt very good, but I did not go very well and I had to overtake a rider to catch the race group for a few laps. But then I managed to reach them but a highside made me drop back about 2 seconds. I had to go and push again to catch them.

When I caught the group it had broken a bit then I could only get up to P.9. I am very happy with the race pace since it was one of the fastest on the track and we were also cutting distances on the first place.

Now in this manner we will continue working even harder to return even stronger in the next one that will be played in Austria.
