Holland has been great to meet on the occasion of the celebration of Round 3 and 4 in the TT Assen
I really liked this country, and I took advantage of the trip to see a little of Amsterdam with my father. Too bad the day was a bit cloudy.
But I liked to mingle with the locals and I could see the great diversity of people here and the large number of tourists; I was also one of them.
As far a the event is concerned, I must say that I learned a lot about what can be achieved this year in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, as I experienced many good and things some bad from which of course I have to learn.
I was surprised in the first FP I achieved a provisional sixth place since Assen was a completely unknown circuit for me, but I didn't do quite so well QP. So I had to settle for 13th grid position.
The first race on Saturday was fantastic. Starting from the fifth row of the grid, the rush through the first corners touched me with another rider who took me off the track and I was relegated to 18th position forcing me to give as much as possible to come back and not be so far behind.
And that happened, I climbed up ten places and ended the race eighth.
In the second race, I caught the second group even though they had an advantage of more than two seconds. We were fighting for the fifth position and leadership of that group. I touched with another rider and fell loosing the chance of a handful of points.
I got back on the bike an don the track, but I could not finish better than at position 20.
I'm learned very well at the Assen school.
Sure I'll enjoy doing some great races together with all of you.
Greetings and ...
See you at Sachsenring.
